Roger Sayah graduated from Université St. Joseph in Beirut, Lebanon, with an electrical engineering degree. He joined the Société d’Oxygène et d’Acétylène du Liban (SOAL), an affiliate of Air Liquide. In 1988 and stayed with the company seven years before joining the Ministry of Environment. He re-joined Air Liquide in 2006 in Paris and moved to Dubai in 2008 to manage the newly acquired Pure Helium Gulf Co. Following a reasonable spell in helium, he held different positions with Air Liquide Middle East in the UAE and Iraq.
In 2014, Sayah joined the main independent regional gas company, Gulf Cryo, where he managed the business in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain. He returned to his birth country in 2017 to join Promedic Group, managing Lebanon and Kuwait, before accepting his current role as General Secretary of the Middle East Gases Association (MEGA) at the end of 2019.
