Lee has over 10 years of experience in the energy sector, spanning academia, consulting, and high-growth commercial environments. His expertise covers a broad range of fuel and energy technologies, with a particular focus on low-carbon systems and infrastructure.
He currently leads policy, funding, and strategic projects at Ryze Power, a renewable energy company delivering hydrogen, renewable fuel, and EV charging solutions. His responsibilities include engagement with government and industry on infrastructure and policy development, as well as leading innovation projects such as Ryze’s DESNZ Red Diesel Replacement Competition project to deploy novel hydrogen supply chains for construction sites.
Lee holds a PhD in Bioenergy from the University of Leeds, and began his career advising power generators on sustainable operations. He later joined E4tech (now part of ERM), where he led strategy and due diligence projects across hydrogen, biofuels, and biochemicals, for clients ranging from SMEs to multinationals and national governments.
