Christel Besson

Christel Besson has more than 25 years of international experience, starting in the industrial gases sector and specialising for the past 20 years in Healthcare, Homecare and Digital Health, with senior leadership responsibilities across Europe within major international companies. She joined Nippon Sanso in 2025 as Europe Business Development Director for Homecare, where she leads business development and growth initiatives across Europe, with a focus on strategy, new business development, partnerships and the expansion of healthcare capabilities.

Before joining Nippon Sanso, Christel held senior executive roles at Philips, Air Liquide Healthcare/VitalAire and Linde Homecare, including CEO of Philips Sleep & Respiratory Care Europe and Managing Director roles in Homecare. Her experience spans home-based care for chronic conditions, across respiratory and non-respiratory therapies, digital health and large-scale Homecare operations.

Christel is a Chemical Engineer, graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Rennes, and completed an executive education programme at INSEAD.
